Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Class I/2 Marine engineer officer license holder.

∎ 5 to 6 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ A well reputed Marine Engineering & Ship Repairing company is seeking for a Marine Engineer to lead the complete technical team & able supervise all staff during all hours of operation. Directly accountable for all administration and operations.
∎ Preference will be given those who will be capable in correspondence with ship owner, manager , local agent and be able to convince them independently to get any jobs.
∎ Job Purpose:
∎ To perform project management function of repair- afloat Steel Structure Fabrication, Mechanical Jobs of Vessel’s Engine Room, Lifting & Mooring equipments or any other jobs onboard until the successful completion of the vessel to the customer.
∎ To plan, organize, direct and control the company`s resources to ensure all activities are managed effectively so as to meet customers` requirements on time.
∎ To ensure all aspects of the project are carried out safely and in compliance to all IACS regulations and policies.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Estimate & Quote as per client’s requirement.
∎ Issue & Update work procedures promptly.
∎ Carry out safety checks.
∎ Execute and control each project.
∎ Approve the sub-contract work based on recommendations by sourcing dept.
∎ Conduct progress meeting and review work schedule.
∎ Prepare and update worklist for the team.
∎ Ensure timely submission of Field Reports.
∎ Monitoring of project wise progress & expanses simultaneously.
∎ Liaison with all Classification Societies to maintain quality & performance upto the mark.
∎ Liaison with Mercantile Marine Dept. to maintain all documentations updated.
∎ Review Month end report (Inventories and Requisitions). Investigate and conduct verification for any excessive consumptions or mis-calculated value given in the report.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5-6 years' experience in support or management level on-board sea going vessel.
∎ Experience in technical workshop as Maintenance engineer is an advantage
∎ Nature of Experience: Good Diplomatic and Managerial skill and project planning
∎ Knowledge on ship equipment maintenance and must be fully aware of equipment operation concept.
∎ Well versed in MS Office
∎ Rooted knowledge and ability to read Structural Drawings, Pneumatic/ Hydraulic and Electrical circuit diagram and other ship's drawings.
∎ Language Skills: English.
