Responsibilities & Context:
∎ To develop and implement strategic plans to optimize the supply chain process, including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, and distribution
∎ To establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality materials and services at the best possible cost
∎ To oversee inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess inventory while ensuring product availability to meet customer demand
∎ Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
∎ Forecast demand using data analysis and market research, then modify supply chain strategy accordingly.
∎ Find areas where processes may be optimized, then take the lead on projects to increase productivity, cut waste, and improve supply chain performance as a whole
∎ Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing supply chain operations, such as import/export regulations
∎ Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management through ongoing professional development and networking
