∎ PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred. Additional certifications related to construction management are advantageous.

∎ Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
∎ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
∎ Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ As a Project Manager in civil construction is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager ensures compliance with safety regulations and manages resources effectively to achieve project goals.
∎ Develop detailed project plans outlining timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
∎ Establish project goals and objectives, and create schedules for the timely completion of projects.
∎ Allocate resources and manage project budgets effectively.  Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project requirements and expectations.
∎ Serve as the main point of contact for all project stakeholders.
∎ Facilitate regular project meetings to discuss progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication.
∎ Coordinate the efforts of project team members, including on-site construction workers and subcontractors.
∎ Ensure the availability and efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and labor.
∎ Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
∎ Implement quality assurance and control measures to ensure that all construction work meets industry standards and project specifications.
∎ Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and identify any potential issues.
∎ Ensure that any defects or deviations from plans are promptly addressed and corrected.
∎ Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to manage them.
∎ Monitor project risks and implement contingency plans as necessary.
∎ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.
∎ Monitor project budgets and track expenses to ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
∎ Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
∎ Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering practices where possible.
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, permits, and progress reports.
∎ Prepare and present regular project status reports to stakeholders.
∎ Ensure all project documentation is stored and managed appropriately for future reference.
∎ Provide innovative solutions to overcome challenges and improve project outcomes.
∎ Ensure that all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
∎ Obtain necessary permits and licenses for construction work.
∎ Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
