Job Responsibilities:
∎ Administration: To work as administrative officer to run a) Pharmacy, b) X-ray, c) CT- scan, d) USG, e) Echo and f) Dental OPG units with coordination of Hospital Authority.
∎ To ensure necessary supplies to all units i.e. Medicine, medical items, printing and other papers needed, X-ray films etc.
∎ To prepare and ensure Duty Roster & staff management of all units.
∎ To supervise maintenance works in all units along with concerned authorities.
∎ To help sales procedure in the pharmacy in rush hour and also to find ways to enhance daily sales.
∎ To ensure a working environment throughout the units.
∎ To fix external and internal problems if any, keeping contact with concerned authorities.
∎ To keep contact with Kumudini authority regarding all actions.
∎ Procurement, Sales & Service Management: To give purchase orders to parties being requested by the Pharmacist of the Pharmacy.
∎ To give entry as per invoice of different parties to the computer system that is physically maintained with support of the Pharmacist and other junior pharmacist.
∎ To supervise the transfer of medicines and other items from the main store to be sold/ used from/in Pharmacy and other units and to give entry to the computer system accordingly.
∎ Financial activity: To prepare and keep all financial papers/ Books of all units.
∎ To deposit daily Sales amount to the Bank.
∎ To help authority in issuing necessary cheque or Cash payments of Pharmacy and other units.

∎ Business : Kumudini Pharma is a concern of Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal (BD) Limited. Kumudini Welfare Trust was founded by R P Shaha in June 1947. He was born poor, became very wealthy through his business ventures only to give away all his wealth voluntarily. Between 1938 and 1944 R P Shaha had set up a free dispensary, a 750-bed free hospital named Kumudini Hospital. He established Bharateswari Homes, Kumudini Girls’ College and Debendra College. In 1944 he donated an amount of Rs. 2,50,000/- to the British Red Cross. R P Shaha and his only son were abducted by the Pakistan Army and their collaborators in 1971. They never returned. Along with the hospital, the Trust now runs a Women’s Medical College, a Nursing School and a Nursing College. Funds required for running the welfare activities are obtained from the income generating units of the Trust like jute press and warehouse, garments industry, pharmaceuticals, river transportation, handicrafts etc.
