Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible for all activities relating to the daily operations management of the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant operations.
∎ Supervise and schedule the operation staff in day to day operation of HFO power plant. Provide leadership and direction to the operations staff under his supervision.
∎ Operate the plant in strict compliance with LDC's load demand.
∎ To communicate effectively with Head Office (O&M), Plan In-Charge for Plant related to the condition of the plant equipment and performance.
∎ Directs training, supervision and enforcement of the plant's safety procedures.
∎ Responsible for implementation of plant safety system.
∎ Responsible for establishing and maintaining an efficient operations team.
∎ Implement and follow up all the plant operation activities as instructed by the plant In charge as and when required.
∎ To comply with all operations procedures, instructions and to discharge responsibilities related to plant safety system.
∎ Report to the plant in charge in regards to the SFOC(specific fuel consumption), SLOC (Specific LO consumption) power generation, chemical consumption, water treatment status, shift staff HRM status daily, fortnightly or monthly or as and when asked for.
∎ Coordinate with maintenance managers for repair and maintenance of power plant equipment and engines. Provide planning and coordination of maintenance activities to minimize the down time of the system and to optimize the plant availability.
∎ Preparation and report daily to PDB's concern person and head office on plant availability, power generation and others or as & when asked by PDB/company head office.
∎ Ensure that LO & FO samples are properly drawn from correct location and get these analyzed in a timely manner in order to maintain quality assurance.
∎ Assume the responsibilities of the Plant in Charge in his absence.
