Responsibilities & Context
Lead and supervise the merchandising team to ensure smooth execution of all orders from product development to final shipment.
Maintain effective communication and business relationships with international buyers, buying offices, and suppliers.
Handle buyer inquiries, product development, sampling, costing, price negotiation, and order confirmation.
Prepare and review cost sheets, consumption, fabric, trims, accessories, and other relevant costing components.
Coordinate with factories, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely execution of orders.
Monitor the critical path, production status, shipment schedules, and delivery commitments.
Ensure timely submission and approval of samples, lab dips, trims, fabrics, and other buyer requirements.
Follow up on fabric booking, trims booking, sourcing, procurement, and material availability.
Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to ensure products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
Identify potential production and shipment risks and take appropriate corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
Prepare regular order status reports, T&A (Time and Action) plans, and merchandising performance reports for management.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing buyers while exploring opportunities for new business.
Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and develop the professional capabilities of merchandising personnel.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
