Responsibilities & Context
Job Context
We are seeking an experienced procurement leader to manage general purchase, covering building and project materials, garment machinery and machine parts. The role includes planning and controlling section-wise procurement budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead general purchase operations for building materials, project materials, garment machinery and machine parts, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply.
Plan, monitor and control section-wise procurement budgets and report variances to management.
Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers to secure the best cost, quality and lead time.
Review quotations and comparative statements; ensure all purchases follow company policy and the approval matrix.
Develop and evaluate suppliers, and drive cost-saving and vendor rationalization initiatives.
Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, Administration, Production and Accounts to plan requirements.
Monitor deliveries, resolve supplier issues and ensure audit-ready documentation.
Guide, train and evaluate the purchase team.
Coordinate import procurement of machinery and spare parts with Commercial, including shipment follow-up and documentation.
Prepare annual purchase plans and maintain a price database for major materials, machinery and spares.
Ensure vendor compliance with contract terms, warranty and after-sales service for machinery and project supplies.
