Educational Requirements:
∎ M.Sc in Biochemistry / Microbiology / Molecular biology or Molecular biotechnology / Biotechnology/ Genetic Engineering (from leading public university /renowned private university).
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Performing & Preparing COVID-19 & others specimen for RT-PCR testing as per defined Standard Operating Procedure (SOP);
∎ Operating real-time PCR instruments and associated laboratory equipment, such as - DNA/RNA isolation platforms for high throughput workflows (both manual and automated). Experience using Applied Biosystems RT-PCR instruments, Bio Rad CFX96, Roche LightCycler 96 and SaCycler-96, RT-PCR set-up, standardization and validation procedure are highly appreciated;
∎ Analyze data, interpret results and perform calculations;
∎ Standardization of assays, documentation and troubleshooting;
∎ Perform maintenance of the laboratory equipment as per protocols;
∎ Maintain the documentation as defined in the standard operating procedures;
∎ Maintain adequate day to day inventory levels;
∎ Develop SOP for bio-specimen sample handling and ensure compliance with corporate procedures for health and safety;
∎ Sound knowledge on Bangladesh Government rules and regulations on RT PCR lab operation;
∎ Regular surveillance and perform audit for all process improvement;
∎ Organize and prioritize work to ensure on-time delivery of results;
∎ Maintain all equipment in proper working order and ensure calibration & maintenance schedule;
∎ Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system;
∎ Handling all patient complain and feedback for the overall improvement;
∎ Conduct regular training for all staffs related to SOP & process;
∎ Observe all laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests;
∎ Notify supervisor any abnormal findings/test conditions required for specific attention of the supervisor;
∎ Responsible to maintain Quality Management System & maintain the technical records.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5 years practical / working experience from any diagnostic lab & minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in COVID RT PCR lab.
