Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the overall rolling and folding operations of finished fabric, ensuring quality, productivity, timely delivery, proper machine utilization, and compliance with company standards.
Job Description / Responsibility:
Manage and supervise the overall rolling and folding operations of finished fabrics.
Plan daily and monthly production targets according to shipment and production requirements.
Ensure proper fabric rolling, folding, measuring, labeling, packing, and presentation as per buyer requirements.
Monitor fabric quality during rolling and folding and ensure defects are properly identified and controlled.
Coordinate with Dyeing, Finishing, Quality, Planning, Warehouse, and Production teams for smooth operations.
Ensure proper machine setting, utilization, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
Monitor production efficiency, manpower utilization, wastage, rework, and operational costs.
Ensure correct fabric width, GSM, roll length, weight, and folding specifications as required.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective actions for productivity improvement.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality standards, safety requirements, and workplace discipline.
Develop and manage manpower requirements, shift planning, and operator allocation.
Train and guide supervisors, operators, and workers to improve productivity and quality.
Coordinate with Quality and Merchandising teams to resolve fabric-related issues and buyer requirements.
Monitor finished goods handling and ensure proper storage and identification of fabric rolls.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in textile finishing, rolling, folding, or fabric processing operations.
