Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary duties & responsibilities
∎ To lead and retain existing and securing new business by providing pricing direction & carrier options.
∎ Maintain contact with customers (internal and external) regarding conditions affecting the service level of area served.
∎ To assist sales team of troubleshooting & resolution of daily operational issues, under the direction of the superior.
∎ maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight.
∎ arranging insurance and assisting the client in the event of a claim.
∎
∎ *Develop & maintain senior supplier relationships to deliver best in market Air and Sea rates & products
∎ Manages, oversees, and performs leadership tasks to direct and control activities performed to effectively manage the end-to-end Air, Sea, Import and Export departments
∎ Regularly conduct meetings with carriers and other suppliers to develop and maintain relationships and discuss market rates, space allocations and opportunities.
∎ Negotiate FCL/LCL Import and Export rates and other terms and conditions attached to Air and Sea freight products.
∎ Source rates as needed for any port pair not on file.
∎ Ensure accuracy of rates and charges via systems or spreadsheets on a regular basis.
∎ Review & negotiate best in market rates based on market data and feedback from the business

∎ *Sea Freight Pricing and Management
∎ Drive and manage the procurement and pricing of Air and ocean freight for short, medium, and long-term opportunities presented by Sales and CRMs.
∎ Local Charges and Costs / Tariffs across (FCL/LCL).
∎ Demurrage & Detention Costs / Tariff across (FCL/LCL).
∎ Credit arrangements with suppliers.
∎
∎ *FCL/LCL - Capacity Management & Product Development
∎ Reconcile allocations to ensure in line with plan and forecasted to meet demand
∎ Assist local Sea and Air freight teams in worldwide execute Air and Sea shipments in line with demand
∎ Work closely with Air and Sea Teams and plan for a contingencies i.e. for peak season
∎
∎ *Service Delivery & Performance Improvement
∎ Analyze, improve & develop service & performance reporting.
∎ Review KPI outcomes and work with local Air and Sea freight teams in the region and Air/Sea freight operations for continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum of Ten (10) years' experience in logistics/freight forwarding industry and at least two (2) years' managerial level experience in operations and/or customer service experience with supervising team members.
∎ Working Knowledge and experience of air and sea Freight Operations
∎ Understanding of BD Customs/Export / Import Requirements
∎ Experience working with third-party logistics companies and external vendors.
∎ Must have good track record of experience in reputed freight forwarding companies.
∎ Must be self-driven, creative, able to grasp and implement the assignments quickly
∎ Must possess the ability to work under challenging environment
∎ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (Spoken & Written)
∎ Windows Operating System MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access)
∎ Negotiation skills
