We are currently seeking an ambitious and dynamic individual to join this team in the role of Maintenance Engineer at Haymayetpur, Savar, Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods.
∎ Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
∎ Diagnosing breakdown problems.
∎ Fitting new parts and making sure machineries and equipment is working correctly;
∎ Carrying out quality inspections on jobs.
∎ Liaising with client departments and other engineering and production colleagues.
∎ Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components.
∎ Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
∎ Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
∎ Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
∎ Improving health and safety policies and procedures.
∎ Working with specialist equipment, which control machinery on factory assembly lines.
∎ Writing maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines.
∎ Ensuring there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
∎ Update machine list and keep proper inventory of all related accessories.
∎ Keep liaison with commercial department regarding imported spare parts.
∎ To carry out any other tasks assigned by the Management from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 32 to 38 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills;
∎ Ability to make timely and effective decisions, execute them, and show initiative and results;
∎ Adaptable;
∎ Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to translate technical information to non-technical staff and process area teams;
∎ High leadership involvement;
∎ Ability to plan and prioritize work and be detail oriented with effective record keeping;
∎ Ability to build and foster relationships with others;
∎ Capable to work in a cross cultural environment;
∎ Knowledge of predictive maintenance strategies preferred;
∎ Experience in tannery/leather processing industry or in heavy industrial manufacturing environment (projects and/or maintenance) preferred;
