Responsibilities & Context
1. Four-year Bachelor's (Honours) degree and Master's degree in English from recognised universities.
2. Excellent academic records at both undergraduate (Honours) and postgraduate levels.
3. No third division/class or equivalent GPA/CGPA in any public examination or academic degree.
4. A minimum CGPA of 3.50 on a 4.00 scale in both Bachelor's (Honours) and Master's degrees will be preferred.
5. Strong command of English language, including speaking, writing, reading and listening skills.
6. Demonstrated proficiency in English language teaching, literature, linguistics, academic writing and communication skills.
7. Ability to conduct effective classroom teaching, prepare course materials, assess student performance and engage students in interactive learning activities.
8. Research aptitude and published research articles in recognised peer-reviewed journals will be considered an added advantage.
9. Previous university-level teaching experience will be preferred.
10. Proficiency in ICT-based teaching methods, digital learning platforms and educational technologies will be an added advantage.
11. Ability to undertake academic and administrative responsibilities, including student advising, examination duties, departmental activities and committee assignments.
12. Good interpersonal, presentation, communication and organisational skills.
