Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collect blood, urine, and other bodily fluids from patients according to established procedures.
∎ Prepare specimens for analysis by centrifuging, aliquoting, and labeling.
∎ Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of specimens.
∎ Perform a wide range of laboratory testsOperate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
∎ Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
∎ Monitor and document quality control data.
∎ Participate in proficiency testing programs.
∎ Analyze laboratory results and interpret findings.
∎ Verify and validate test results before releasing them to healthcare providers.
∎ Prepare and generate accurate and timely laboratory reports.
∎ Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to protect patients, staff, and the environment.
∎ Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspaceComply with all relevant regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
∎ Provide technical assistance to healthcare providers regarding laboratory tests and results.
