∎ Working experience as Lab In-charge in Hospital/ Diagnostic Center is mandatory.

∎ Proficient in using laboratory equipment and LIS software.
∎ High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
∎ Excellent communication and organizational capabilities.

∎ Must be Computer skill especially in MS Word, MS Excel and Internet Browsing.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Analyze biological samples (e.g., blood, urine, tissue) to assist in diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
∎ Prepare, label, and process specimens for testing.
∎ Operate laboratory instruments such as microscopes, centrifuges, analyzers, and cell counters.
∎ Interpret and validate test results with precision before reporting to physicians.
∎ Record test findings accurately in the Laboratory Information System and patient medical records.
∎ Ensure all laboratory equipment is properly maintained, labeled, and in working order.
∎ Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and coordinate repairs or calibration as needed.
∎ Enforce strict adherence to all laboratory safety protocols, including the use of PPE and emergency procedures.
∎ Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant lab environment as per institutional and regulatory standards.
∎ Supervise day-to-day activities of laboratory technicians and support staff.
∎ Assign duties and prepare daily/weekly shift schedules to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
∎ Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, feedback, and training as necessary.
∎ Train new laboratory personnel and ensure adherence to protocols and best practices.
∎ Communicate and collaborate with physicians, pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to discuss test results and findings.
∎ Assist pathologists during autopsies when required.
∎ Maintain inventory of lab supplies, reagents, and materials; reorder stock as needed to prevent shortages.
∎ Participate in budget planning and cost management for lab operations.
∎ Organize staff leave and vacation schedules to ensure continuous lab coverage.
∎ Prepare and submit regular reports on clinical activities to management.
∎ Support implementation and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for lab processes and experiments.
∎ Carry out any other responsibilities assigned by management.
∎ Additional duties may be communicated at the time of joining and throughout employment as needed.
