∎ B.Sc / Diploma in Nursing from an accredited and recognized academic institution; & registered by the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC) with completed of internship and with good academic records.

Job Context:
∎ Child Health Research Foundation (CHRF) is a non-profit research organization in Dhaka, Bangladesh, registered under the NGO Affairs Bureau. Founded in 2007 by a multidisciplinary research group, we operate with the core mission to improve child health by facilitating appropriate policy decisions on the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases through quality research and advocacy using available resources. We conduct research in four hospitals (Dhaka Shishu Hospital, Dr. MR Khan Shishu hospital, Chittagong Ma-O-Shishu Hospital, and Kumudini Women`s Medical College) and five microbiology laboratories around the country. We collaborate with different international organizations like Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Health Organization, Edinburgh University, Stanford University, Johns Hopkins University, Centre for Disease Control, etc.
∎ CHRF is going to invite application for the position "Junior Study Nurse" to work with core research and diagnostic team.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct assessment of children to determine eligibility for enrolment in a research study
∎ Obtain parent's consent for enrolment in the study
∎ Conduct daily follow up of enrolled babies at the hospitals as per protocol
∎ Collect demographic, vaccination and clinical information using structured questionnaire
∎ Collect nasopharyngeal, blood specimens from the enrolled cases
∎ Ensure that SOP is followed at each of the activities
∎ Regularly share the progress and challenges with project coordinators and investigators
∎ Liaise and coordinate with other study & lab personnel
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one-year experience in relevant fields, more will be preferred.
∎ Computer literacy is essential.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Bangla and English.
∎ Must possess problem solving skills
∎ Ability to work independently
∎ Must be enthusiastic to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment and be willing to take initiatives
Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
