∎ SSC Passed
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology/Laboratory Technology/Equivalent
∎ 3 years’ experience as Lab Technician
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collection of the sample when necessary
∎ Preparing clinical samples for laboratory testing
∎ Perform all microbiological, Immunological and biochemical tests done in this lab
∎ Prepare and print final reports for physicians’ review
∎ Assist Consultants, Medical Officers and Senior Laboratory Technologist to perform day to day laboratory activities
∎ Follow the instructions of supervisors
∎ Regular reporting to Senior Laboratory Technologist
∎ Will support other technologist and supervisors in maintaining, operating and calibrating equipment
∎ Maintenance of good laboratory practices, biosafety, biosecurity and laboratory waste management
∎ Follow laboratory protocol and SOPs
∎ Maintains orderly and legible records of testing/reagents
