Experience:
Basic practical knowledge of HT/LT Substation, Transformer, VCB, SF₆ Switchgear, Relay, Protection System, Energy Meter, and Power Factor.
Basic knowledge of SCADA/SAS, IEDs, RTUs, and electrical communication networks.
Ability to monitor electrical parameters, feeder loading, energy consumption, alarms, and tripping events.
Knowledge of electrical safety, shutdown procedures, isolation, and safety clearance.
Basic knowledge of substation operation in a steel plant/industrial environment will be an advantage.
Willingness to work in shift duty and respond effectively during electrical faults, outages, and emergency situations.

We are looking for a competent and experienced Junior Engineer-for its Electrical & Substation Department. The Junior Engineer – Electrical & Substation will be responsible for supporting the safe and reliable operation of the plant’s electrical substation and power distribution systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor and operate substation systems by maintaining basic knowledge of energy meters, power factor, tripping alarms, relays, transformers, VCBs, SF₆ systems, and motors to ensure safe and reliable electrical operations.
Monitor, operate, and program substation operations through SCADA/SAS systems by observing system parameters, alarms, events, and controls to ensure smooth and reliable power distribution.
Record and maintain feeder-wise energy consumption data by regularly monitoring and documenting energy parameters to ensure accurate energy consumption tracking.
Maintain proper tripping records and issue shutdown and safety clearance by following established electrical safety procedures and coordinating with the maintenance team to ensure safe maintenance activities and proper system isolation.
Monitor and check the condition of HT switchgear, protection system indications, transformer parameters, and feeder load conditions through regular operational monitoring to ensure early identification of abnormalities and reliable plant power supply.
Maintain operation logbooks and event reports by accurately recording operational activities, alarms, trips, and system events to ensure proper operational traceability.
Coordinate with grid control center, dispatch center, and maintenance teams during outages, faults, and maintenance activities to ensure effective communication and timely restoration of electrical supply.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports by compiling substation, energy consumption, tripping, and event-related data to ensure accurate operational reporting.
Maintain cybersecurity and access-control protocols for SAS systems by following authorized access and system-security procedures to ensure secure substation automation operations.
Support commissioning, testing, and maintenance of SAS equipment by assisting with IEDs, intelligent electronic devices, relays, RTUs, and communication networks to ensure proper functionality and reliability of the substation automation system.
