Responsibilities & Context: Location: HFO-Based Power Plant Employment Type: Full-time Internship Job Location: Any where in Bangladesh Job Purpose To support the Operations Department by gaining hands-on experience in HFO-based power plant operations, assisting in safe and efficient running of engines, auxiliaries, and utility systems while developing technical, operational, and soft skills. Key Competencies & Responsibilities 1. Operational Competency Work on rotating shifts to understand engine operations, WHRB, STG, FTP, WTP, and auxiliary systems. Assist in routine operational activities including parameter monitoring, log sheet entry, and fuel handling. Support safe HFO unloading, purification, and fuel transfer operations following SOPs. Participate in bunker receipt verification, tank dipping, and inventory checks. Assist in safety documentation, isolation/tagging records, and operational reports. 2. Technical Competency Support PLC and SCADA-based monitoring for engines and auxiliary systems. Assist in monitoring HFO and LO purifiers, pumps, compressors, cooling systems, and boiler operations. Apply basic mechanical/electrical knowledge during troubleshooting and preventive maintenance support. 3. Communication & Teamwork Communicate effectively with the Shift Engineer, Operations In-Charge, and colleagues. Support operational training sessions and departmental activities. Collaborate closely with engine operators, chemists, and maintenance personnel during shift operations. 4. Physical & Work Readiness Be physically capable of performing plant operational tasks safely. Remain flexible to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by plant operations. Show willingness to participate in additional learning tasks and emergency response activities. 5. Personal Attributes & Learning Orientation Demonstrate a proactive learning attitude within a high-temperature, high-safety industrial environment. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in operational and safety tasks. Exhibit discipline, responsibility, and reliability, including staying in the plant dormitory when required.
