Job Context:
∎ U.S. Embassy Dhaka is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Immigrant Visa Assistant (IV) - Consular Cashier.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Position requires a minimum two years of experience in administrative, government or para-professional fields
∎ Level IV (speaking/reading) English is required. Ability to write English at the U.S. high school graduate level in required. Level IV (speaking/reading) Bangla is required. Applicant is frequently required to serve as Bangla interpreter for English-speaking colleagues. This may be tested.
∎ Must be able to perform duties effectively and tactfully in a high pressure workplace. Incumbent must lift heavy IV files up to 20 pounds. Incumbent must perform cashiering functions, including calculations of required fees, quickly and accurately. Must demonstrate well-developed team skills and contribute to a collegial work environment and must possess expert interpersonal skills. Must possess advanced oral and written English language communications skills.
