Responsibilities & Context:
Leading Prayers: Leading the five daily prayers, Friday prayers, and special prayers like Taraweeh during Ramadan.
Sermons (Khutbah): Delivering sermons during Friday prayers, focusing on Islamic teachings, current issues, and community guidance.
Religious Education: Teaching the Quran (Tafsir, Tajweed), Hadith, Fiqh, and other Islamic subjects through classes and study circles (halaqas).
Officiating Ceremonies: Conducting weddings, funerals, and other religious ceremonies.
