Job Context:
∎ 100% Export Oriented Knit Composite Garments
∎ Job Location : Parijat, Konabari, Gazipur.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Selected candidate will be responsible for making effective monthly production plan of the orders in consultation and coordination with Marketing and Merchandising, Production and other related departments of the company with an excellent standard of efficiency.
∎ Will be expected to carry out order status monitoring and regular schedule meetings with merchandising and marketing teams for ensuring accurate and optimal capacity planning with cost reduction and increased profitability
∎ Reviewing production plan with capacity and strength along with ensuring timely shipment target through scheduling of raw materials procurement.
∎ Concept design, justification, approval and implementation of strategic production planning and line balancing to get optimum productivity.
∎ Identification of opportunities for process improvement resulting in benefits for service, cost and accuracy with quality.
∎ Evaluate and recommend improvement of technology, methods, flow path, material handling, training etc.
∎ Take necessary steps to minimize wastage and loss in all operating areas.
∎ Increase productivity and efficiency through Method Study, Method Re-engineering, Motion study, Time study, Line balancing.
∎ Calculate non-productive time, reduce defects and wastage, garments manufacturing process breakdown, perfect machine layout.
∎ Determine SMV, arrange and design guide feed on time (Pre-Production Attachments).
∎ Find bottlenecks, technical difficulties and quality related issues.
∎ Prepare production layout for the floor for effective utilization of men, machine and materials and analyzing productivity and calculate efficiency.
∎ Plan and oversee layout of equipment and production facilities, production schedule and re-engineering the layout for better productivity of knit composite garments factory.
∎ Analyze work-force assignment, facility layout, and operational data to determine efficient utilization of employees and equipment and recommend methods for improving employee efficiency and reducing wastage.
∎ Design control systems to coordinate activities and production planning to ensure that products meet quality standards.
∎ Implementing innovations to reduce cost and increase productivity.
∎ Responsible to drive the team to review samples and make pre-production meeting and arrange all the other requirements such as costing evaluation etc.
∎ Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
∎ Adopt good industrial engineering practices in every possible areas like manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards through making layout of equipment, materials, and work space to illustrate maximum efficiency
∎ Monitor operations sequence, material flow, functional statements
∎ Adopt best industrial engineering practices in every possible area for better productivity and ensure optimization of resources.
∎ Analysis of low production and collect lost time against low production and clarify.
∎ Monitor line-wise production report on hourly output basis and study individual operator's performance and train them through coordination with sewing line chiefs and line supervisors for line feeding and related jobs.
∎ Ensure proper utilization of man, machine and materials for smooth productivity.
∎ Prepare monthly production and efficiency report, machine break down report etc.
∎ Calculate SMV and prepare SMV bank, training of workers etc.
∎ Monitoring of production output and finding out bottle-necks, technical, quality, machinery problems with immediate solution.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 55 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ Planning, Floor/ Line Management, Production Management (Sewing)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments, Textile
∎ The candidate must have vast experience in the field of industrial engineering and planning for a knit composite garments factory.
∎ Must have technical capability to take initiative from sourcing raw materials and other things to on-time shipment through production of all departments as per pre-scheduled planning.
∎ Must have a high sense of perfection and pro-active capability to resolve issues on a timely manner by coordination of all departments and reporting to Managing Director.
∎ Must have visionary strategic thinking and capacity to implement ideas.
∎ Must have proven interpersonal skills to maintain effective and satisfactory working relationships with staff at all levels of all departments.
∎ Must have excellent critical analytical skills, hardworking and sense of Integrity.
∎ Excellent communication skill (both written and spoken) in English;
∎ Must have very sound computer skills.
