Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Operational Oversight
∎ Managing Daily Operations: Ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of the hospital, including patient admissions, medical procedures, and coordination between departments.
∎ Resource Allocation: Manage hospital resources, including medical equipment, supplies, and space, ensuring they are adequately distributed across departments.
∎ Patient Care Oversight: Monitor the quality of patient care, ensuring that all departments meet health standards and guidelines.
∎ 2. Financial Management
∎ Budgeting and Financial Planning: Prepare and manage the hospital's budget, ensuring the efficient use of resources and staying within financial constraints.
∎ Cost Control: Implement measures to reduce costs while maintaining quality care and services.
∎ Revenue Management: Ensure that billing is accurate, payments are collected on time, and revenue targets are met. This includes managing relationships with insurance providers and overseeing reimbursement processes.
∎ 3. Staff Management and Human Resources
∎ Staff Recruitment and Training: Oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of medical and administrative staff. Ensure employees are adequately trained and up to date on best practices.
∎ Employee Performance Management: Conduct regular evaluations, provide feedback, and address performance issues. Ensure a high level of job satisfaction and retention among staff.
∎ Workforce Planning: Develop and implement strategies to ensure adequate staffing levels for all hospital departments and shifts.
∎ 4. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance
∎ Adhere to Regulations: Ensure the hospital complies with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and industry standards.
