Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead, manage, and optimize the local procurement process, ensuring timely sourcing of quality materials at competitive prices.
∎ Develop and implement procurement strategies that focus on utilizing local suppliers, fostering relationships within the local market.
∎ Manage vendor relationships with local suppliers, negotiating contracts for favorable terms, pricing, and timely deliveries.
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, Finance, etc.) to forecast needs and manage local inventory levels efficiently.
∎ Oversee the procurement budgeting process, cost analysis, and risk mitigation for local suppliers.
∎ Ensure compliance with local procurement regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
∎ Track key metrics to improve the local procurement process, including savings, supplier performance, and product availability.
∎ Lead and mentor the local procurement team, promoting professional development and growth.
