Skills Required: Accounts and Finance, Chartered Accountant, Key Account Management, Accounting Software, Finances & Accounts, Accounts and audit
Additional Requirements:
- Age 35 to 45 years
- Professional Qualification: CA (Complete) from ICAB or an equivalent recognized professional accounting qualification will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with CFO-level financial management experience or proven experience in a senior finance leadership role will receive preference.
- Experience: At least 10–15 years of progressive experience in Accounts & Finance, including 5 years or more in a senior management position.
- Experience in the Ready-Mix Concrete, manufacturing, construction materials, or related industries will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities & Context:
1. Lead and supervise the overall Accounts & Finance Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting and smooth day-to-day financial operations.
2. Prepare and monitor annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, financial plans, and management reports to support business decisions.
3. Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank transactions, journal entries, general ledger, and monthly closing.
4. Monitor the company's financial position, working capital, cash flow, and fund utilization to ensure efficient financial management.
5. Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
6. Supervise VAT, Tax, AIT, VDS, TDS, and other statutory compliance matters in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in Bangladesh.
7. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, financial institutions, and relevant government authorities.
8. Monitor customer collections, credit limits, outstanding receivables, supplier payments, and payment schedules to maintain healthy cash flow.
9. Review the cost of raw materials, cement, aggregates, sand, admixtures, fuel, transportation, and production-related expenses to control costs and improve profitability.
10. Analyze product costing, production costs, sales margins, plant-wise profitability, and project-wise financial performance of Ready Mix Concrete operations.
11. Ensure proper inventory accounting and reconciliation of raw materials, finished production, fuel, spare parts, and other operational materials in coordination with the relevant departments.
12. Establish and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, approval procedures, and risk management practices to safeguard company assets.
13. Oversee bank facilities, loan management, interest expenses, bank guarantees, LC-related transactions, and other financing arrangements, where applicable.
14. Supervise payroll, employee-related payments, fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and other financial transactions.
15. Implement and monitor accounting systems and software, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and improved operational efficiency.
16. Lead, guide, and develop the Accounts & Finance team, ensuring accountability, teamwork, and timely completion of assigned responsibilities.
17. Provide financial analysis, business insights, and strategic recommendations to top management for informed decision-making and sustainable business growth.
18. Perform other finance-related duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Required Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Practical experience in VAT, Tax, AIT, VDS, and TDS compliance in Bangladesh.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, construction materials, or Ready Mix Concrete industry operations will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple financial activities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
