About Us

Plug & Solve (plugandsolve.com) is a small US software product studio. We build, launch and run our own apps, published on the Google Workspace Marketplace. We are now extending that portfolio to the Atlassian Marketplace with apps built on the Forge platform, and we are launching a developer staff augmentation service alongside it.

The Role

We are hiring one full-stack developer to own the technical side of both parts of the business, long term.

When you are booked with a client, you work on that client's projects as part of their team. Our clients are mainly software companies in Germany and elsewhere in Europe. When you are not booked, you work on our own Marketplace apps. That means there is always meaningful work, you are never idle between client bookings, and you get variety: real client products alongside our own product line. Client work runs during the client's business hours, which means your working week follows theirs: Monday to Friday, with Saturday and Sunday off, and Friday a working day. No night shifts, and your Friday Jummah prayer time is protected.

This is not a short term project. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with a product business and take genuine ownership of what they build.

Hours And Start Date

Five days a week, 40 hours. When you are not placed with a client, your working times are flexible. When you are placed with a client, you keep an overlap of at least four hours with the client's core hours every working day. No night shifts. We would like to fill the role as soon as possible.

What You Will Be Working On

On our own products:

• Building apps for the Atlassian Marketplace on the Forge platform

• Owning the full development lifecycle, from spec to deployment to post launch iteration

• Building Custom UI components in React that run inside Jira and Confluence

• Writing backend logic in Node.js and TypeScript using Forge resolvers and Forge storage

• Integrating with the Jira REST API, the Confluence REST API and external services such as LLM APIs and webhooks

• Maintaining and iterating on our live products based on real user feedback

On client work (staff augmentation):

• Delivering development work for client projects when booked, as part of the client's team

• Communicating clearly and professionally with the client on progress, blockers and timelines

Across both, we expect you to flag problems early rather than going quiet.

Requirements

Education:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field

Experience:

• At least three years in backend or full-stack development

Must have, non negotiable:

• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript. This is the entire Forge stack.

• Node.js for backend logic and resolvers

• React for Forge Custom UI components

• REST API design and consumption. Every Forge app calls Atlassian APIs, and client work will too.

• SQL and relational databases, for structured data thinking and external database integrations

• Git, with confidence in branches, pull requests and collaborative workflows

• Clear written English. This is how we work day to day.

• Strong logical thinking and problem solving. You can break down complex requirements independently.

• Comfort with remote and asynchronous work. You manage your own time well.

Nice to have:

• PostgreSQL

• Automated testing with Jest

• Docker

• CI/CD

• NestJS

• AWS, GraphQL, Agile and Scrum, Next.js

Bonus points:

• Prior experience with Atlassian Forge, Atlassian Connect or shipped Marketplace apps

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or Jira Service Management as a user

• Experience integrating LLM APIs such as Claude, OpenAI or Gemini

• Comfort with AI assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor. Our team uses these daily, and productivity expectations reflect that.

How We Work With You

We are a small remote team, so this role suits someone who can read a product brief, ask the right clarifying questions and then execute. Product direction comes from the founder. Technical execution is yours. If you prefer daily technical supervision and line by line code review, this is not the right fit.

• A fixed monthly fee of 60,000 BDT, paid in USD on time every month, whether or not you are currently placed with a client
