Responsibilities & Context
What you'll do
• Build and maintain cross-platform mobile apps for iOS and Android with React Native and TypeScript.
• Contribute to our React web portals, sharing components, hooks and business logic between web and mobile where it makes sense.
• Integrate with RESTful backend APIs, handling loading, error, offline and retry states cleanly.
• Implement secure authentication flows (for example, AWS Cognito, OAuth 2.0, biometric login) and safe storage of tokens and sensitive data.
• Manage application state and server data with tools such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand or React Query.
• Profile and improve app performance: startup time, list rendering, bundle size and memory use.
• Own mobile releases: builds, code signing, TestFlight and Play Console distribution, and app store submissions.
• Monitor crashes and production issues, then fix and follow up on root causes.
• Must have working knowledge of AI coding agents.
Requirements
• At least 2 years of professional experience with React Native, including at least one app shipped to the App Store or Google Play.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with React for web applications.
• Strong JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript skills.
• Solid understanding of React fundamentals: hooks, component lifecycle, context, memoization and rendering behaviour.
• Experience with React Navigation and common React Native libraries for forms, gestures, animations and storage.
• Hands-on experience consuming REST APIs and handling authentication tokens securely.
• Experience with at least one state or data management approach (Redux Toolkit, Zustand, React Query or similar).
• Familiarity with native build tooling: Xcode, Android Studio, Gradle, CocoaPods and app signing.
• Experience writing tests with Jest and React Testing Library or React Native Testing Library.
• Comfortable with Git, pull-request workflows and code review.
• Good written and spoken English for working with designers and product owners.
