Responsibilities & Context:
∎ This position will be responsible for sales and technical support for dairy, cake, bread & confectionary ingredients.
∎ The candidate should be able to work independently with general supervision.
∎ The candidate will rely on some instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
∎ There will also need to be a certain degree of creativity and latitude from the candidate.
∎ The candidate will be required to use knowledge and know-how of specific ingredients to create recipes for mass-produced food products.
∎ Accurately document recipes and results of pilot and plant trials
∎ Modify recipes as required to meet nutritional/quality specifications & optimize scale up
∎ Formulate and develop new products to match business, customer, regulatory and cost guidelines
∎ Keep current on product trends and consumer trends
∎ Experience in product development of Cookies, Cake and or Bakery products
∎ Experience in product development of Dairy and or Bread products
∎ Knowledge of functional ingredients
∎ Ability to identify new customers to market food ingredients
∎ Ability to understand the customer needs and provide solutions
∎ Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
∎ Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email)
∎ High Energy and Flexibility are required
∎ Proactive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
