Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor Degree in Water Resource Engineering/ Coastal Engineering/ Geography/Hydraulic Engineering/Morphology or Hydrography Cat A/Cat B from reputed university. For experienced candidate educational qualification may be relaxed. In such case proof of practical survey at sea to be submitted.

Job Context:
∎ Payra Port Authority is implementing a Public Private Partnership (PPP) project named "Rabnabad Channel Capital and Maintenance Dredging Project". The following persons will be recruited for the project period. They will assist Project Director and Chief Hydrographer/Hydrography Department for day to day tasks to implement the project activities.
∎ Position with qualifications, experience and key functions are as following:
∎ Duty location will be in Patuakhali district at Payra Port Premises, but frequent field visits/official duties will be required.
∎ Tenure of Employment: 02 Years (Extendable). Tentative Date: 01 October 2019. Contract may be renewed at the expire of the tenure.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist Chief Hydrographer/Hydrography Department and Project Director for day to day tasks to implement the project activities.
∎ Provide day-to-day supervision and inspection of the performance of the capital and maintenance dredging works at site.
∎ Any other assignment given by the Project Director/Chief Hydrographer.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age between 27-35 years, Age limit may be relaxed for Experienced and suitable candidate.
∎ He/ She should have at least 3 (three) years of professional experience in dredging monitoring activities/ hydrographic survey. He/ She should have willingness to work at sea in harsh environment round the year.
∎ Excellent writing and communications skills in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent skill in survey software hypack, Geodetic/ Differential GPS, Multibeam/single beam echo sounder and Microsoft Office Packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
∎ Candidate with shorter length of professional experience may also apply. They may be considered in case of non-availability of suitable candidates.

Salary:
∎ 75,000 BDT including VAT and Tax (Negotiable) based on experience.
