Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Plan and conduct research on product trends and customer demand to develop strategies for new or updated products aimed at improving category performance
∎ Build and maintain industry partnerships to promote the category’s products, while managing cost-sand driving increased sales
∎ Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and handling excess or obsolete inventory to maximize storage efficiency
∎ Regularly generate reports on product availability, sales performance, and inventory status for data- driven decision-making
∎ Analyze individual product and overall category performance, using key metrics to identify best and worst performers
∎ Prepare profit and loss statements and evaluate the category’s competitive positioning
∎ Develop and implement strategies to improve the category’s overall performance based on analysis of data and market trends
∎ Identify and source vendors based on performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts, ensure favorable terms and manage vendor relationships
∎ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Warehouse, to ensure smooth execution of category strategies across the organization
∎ Provide leadership and guidance to teams, assigning roles and ensuring alignment with category goals to drive overall performance
