Holding relevant professional certifications (e.g., Solar PV Installation & Maintenance from BTEB/SREDA/recognized technical institute, or OHS certification) will be considered a strong fit.
Responsibilities & Context
Lead and execute routine preventive and corrective maintenance (O&M) for on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair solar PV modules, string/central/hybrid inverters, charge controllers, energy storage battery systems (Lithium-ion/Tubular Lead-acid),and switchgear.
Monitor solar system performance, daily generation logs, and data loggers (remote monitoring platforms) to detect efficiency drops, shading issues, or inverter faults early.
Perform electrical testing including open-circuit voltage (Voc), short-circuit current (Isc), insulation resistance (megger test), IV curve tracing, and earth resistance testing.
Supervise solar panel cleaning schedules, structural integrity checks, and electrical connection retorquing at client premises.
Manage warranty claims, coordinate spare parts replacement with Tier-1 manufacturers, and maintain detailed maintenance and servicing documentation.
Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety codes, site safety standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) regulations during all maintenance operations.
Provide prompt after-sales technical support to commercial and industrial clients, ensuring minimal system downtime.
