Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 21 to 36 years
∎ We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team for the installation and fabrication of air conditioning ducts on both commercial and residential construction projects, with a minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week.
Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Install and set up sheet metal ducting according to specifications.
∎ Accurately interpret blueprints and drawings for ducting layouts.
∎ Work at various heights and levels, including overhead ducting installations.
∎ Skilfully fit and weld air conditioning ducts when required.
∎ Analyse blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine material and equipment requirements.
∎ Select metal stock (stainless steel, galvanized iron, mild steel, aluminium, and copper) ensuring compliance with size, gauges, and dimensions.
∎ Precisely cut metal stock using hand and power shears, lasers, plasma cutters, and drills.
∎ Shape and form metal stock with folding and bending machines, rollers, presses, and hammers.
∎ Assemble components into final products with welding, riveting, soldering, brazing, and other joining techniques.
∎ Apply finishing touches to enhance product quality, including polishing, filing, sanding, and thorough cleaning.
∎ Specialize in fabrication, on-site assembly, installation, or decorative copperwork.
∎ Interpret engineering production drawings accurately and utilize production equipment effectively.
∎ Participate in metal smelting, ceramic firing, mineral ore processing, casting, and wire drawing.
∎ 3-years of relevant experience is required.
