∎ BSc or Diploma Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

∎ Strong understanding of vessel systems, dry-docking processes, and marine equipment.

∎ Ability to read technical drawings and work under pressure.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Supervise dockyard activities, including vessel maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
∎ Coordinate with marine engineers, technicians, and contractors for timely completion of work.
∎ Ensure all equipment, tools, and machinery are properly maintained and operational.
∎ Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with marine and dockyard regulations.
∎ Prepare daily work schedules, allocate manpower, and monitor job progress.
∎ Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions on-site.
∎ Maintain accurate records of dockyard operations, inventory, and maintenance logs.
∎ Oversee and manage repair and maintenance projects.
∎ Train, supervise, and evaluate subordinates
∎ Conduct and record site inspections
∎ Ensure site personnel have relevant training
∎ Track and document daily work production
∎ Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors
∎ Oversee and manage boat and barge repair projects from start to finish
∎ Ensure that work is completed on time and within budget
∎ Ensure that work is carried out in line with approved methods
∎ Re-engineering: Maintaining and repairing engines, replacing electro-mechanical equipment, and optimizing weight and fuel consumption.
∎ CNC operations: Monitoring and supervising CNC machines, ensuring quality control, and troubleshooting malfunctions
∎ Project management: Organizing the shipyard, implementing business decisions, and ensuring on-time delivery
∎ Quality control: Ensuring quality of purchased materials and finished products
∎ Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations
∎ Documentation: Keeping records and maintaining documentation of machine specifications and programming notes
