Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assessment of Nutritional Needs: Evaluate the health and dietary needs of patients or clients through consultations, health and dietary histories, and, if necessary, nutritional diagnostics.
∎ Diet Plan Development: Develop personalized nutrition plans and dietary advice to help patients.
∎ Monitoring and Follow-up: Regularly monitor the patient’s progress and adjust dietary plans.
∎ Nutrition Education: Educate patients, and their families on healthy eating habits, the importance of balanced nutrition, and how to manage diet-related health conditions.
∎ Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support to clients.
∎ Dietary Analysis and Menu Planning: Analyze the nutritional content of food, and develop healthy menus and meal plans.
∎ Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure all dietary practices follow food safety and sanitation regulations.
∎ Documentation: Maintain accurate records of patient’s progress, dietary plans, and consultations as required by their place of employment or legal guidelines.
