Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Navigational watch
∎ Contribute to the navigational watch by standing watch on the bridge at sea or at anchor
∎ Safety
∎ Ensure the safety of the ship and its crew by following safety procedures, wearing protective clothing, and performing fire and security rounds
∎ Maintenance
∎ Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks, such as painting, cleaning, and inspecting tanks
∎ Deckhand duties
∎ Perform deckhand duties such as mooring, unmooring, loading and discharging cargo, and handling lines
∎ Emergency action
∎ Take emergency action in a variety of maritime situations
∎ Environmental protection
∎ Make the protection of the environment a top priority by following the company's safe working practices
