Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS), Fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons (FCPS)
∎ AS PER BM&DC RULES; MBBS, FCPS, MS/MD, Diploma Degree with previous experience in the department.

∎ Nestled on the banks of a river in the impoverished region of Mirzapur, Tangail, the hospital stands as a glorious model of philanthropy. It is a shining example for those who want to improve the situations of impoverished Bangladeshis. Kumudini Hospital along with its affiliated institutions is almost seventy years old and the institution has grown in its scope of philanthropic activities throughout this period. In 1938 a dispensary and outdoor facility in the name of Shaha`s paternal grandmother, Srimati Shova Sundari was established. On July 27, 1944 Kumudini Hospital with 750-bed facility was inaugurated by the then Governor of Bengal, Lord R G Casey. Now Kumudini Hospital is 1050-beded general hospital with all kind of discipline and it is attached with Kumudini Women`s Medical College.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Departments: SURGERY, GYNAECOLOGY, Medicine/Internal Medicine, OPHTHALMOLOGY, DIABETIC & ENDOCRINOLOGY.
∎ Kumudini Hospital provides treatment for almost all types of diseases. The hospital has its own modern laboratory with the necessary diagnostic facilities. In addition, the laboratory has research and training facilities. Apart from the general services, the Hospital has a Village Outreach Program under which consists of doctors and nurses who periodically visit nearby villages to train the villagers on midwifery, family planning, breastfeeding, sanitation, antenatal, and general health awareness.

∎ According to your subject/ departmental expertise you will have to provide treatments and your position will be decided based on your experience and avaiability.

∎ Business : Kumudini Welfare Trust was founded by R P Shaha in June 1947. He was born poor, became very wealthy through his business ventures only to give away all his wealth voluntarily. Between 1938 and 1944 R P Shaha had set up a free dispensary, a 750-bed free hospital named Kumudini Hospital. He established Bharateswari Homes, Kumudini Girls’ College and Debendra College. In 1944 he donated an amount of Rs. 2,50,000/- to the British Red Cross. R P Shaha and his only son were abducted by the Pakistan Army and their collaborators in 1971. They never returned. Along with the hospital, the Trust now runs a Women’s Medical College, a Nursing School and a Nursing College. Funds required for running the welfare activities are obtained from the income generating units of the Trust like jute press and warehouse, garments industry, pharmaceuticals, river transportation, handicrafts etc.
