Educational Requirements:
∎ A post graduate medical degree (Diploma, FCPS, MS) in ophthalmology.
∎ A license to practice ophthalmology.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ophthalmologist should be able to perform following duties:
∎ Conducting eye exams and treatment of eye diseases, including prescribing and administering medication or performing surgical procedures such as cataract removal or corneal transplantation
∎ Providing medical treatment for eye infections, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other conditions
∎ Performing surgical procedures to repair damage to the cornea caused by trauma or disease
∎ Providing care to patients with vision problems due to birth defects, infections, trauma, or other causes
∎ Prescribing eyeglasses or contact lenses to correct visual impairments or defects
∎ Conducting examinations to diagnose disease or injury to the eye or associated structures
∎ Administering eye tests and providing treatment for vision problems including astigmatism, nearsightedness, farsightedness, and blurred vision
∎ Treating patients with infectious diseases of the eye, ear, nose, or throat
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Expert working knowledge of the diseases, functions, and anatomy of the eye.
∎ Good administrative and managerial skills.
∎ Good hand-eye coordination.
∎ Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making
Salary: Negotiable
