Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS, D. Bact, Mphil in Microbiology

Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Day-to-day supervision of diagnostic methods and examination of all clinical pathology specimens (Not just microbiology specimens).
∎ Should be Competent enough to interpret CBC results and write PBF reports.
∎ Involvement in policy and standard operating procedure (SOP) preparation.
∎ 4Should also look into detailed test procedures before signing any abnormal reports.
∎ Always maintain a healthy and cordial relationship with all laboratory and hospital staff.
∎ Must feel free to correct theoretical or practical deficiencies by consultation with HoD or any staff.
∎ Must Learn to give correct I/T ratio on newborns PBF.
∎ Cultivation (growth), identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of microorganisms.
∎ Detection of antibodies produced by the patient in response to an infecting organism (serodiagnosis).
∎ Managing and overseeing laboratory work (direct supervision of all tests whenever is possible).
∎ Work as a key figure in hospital infection prevention and control.
