Educational Requirements:
∎ The candidate must have the following educational degree:
∎ MSC Civil engineering or similar; or Master's Degree in disaster risk management or other relevant subject

Job Context:
∎ Contract duration - 2 months and will possible renewal for up to 6 additional months subject to funding availability
∎ Line Management: The DRR Project Manager will report to and operate under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Planning - Responsible for the overall design, strategy, tools and materials of Helvetas DRR construction project across 4 camps
∎ Project Implementation - Design and follow project implementation plans for the management and oversight of DRR construction activities in the camps
∎ Manage implementation team and ensure timely implementation of activities, and spending levels;
∎ Quality assurance and project support and supervision to team
∎ Liaise and coordinate with the RRRC, CiC, site management agency, sectors, and implementation committee, and other relevant actors across implementing camps; Close coordination with WFP
∎ Administration and Operational management - Ensure project reporting and deliverable in a timely manner
∎ Liaise with relevant Helvetas departments for project support - logistics, finance, AME, PD, coordination, etc.
∎ Establish health safety and environmental plan in accordance with WFP guidelines and other international standards
∎ Prepare and validate project handover documentation including workforce records, and material lists for project close out
Additional Requirements:
∎ The main criteria used in the selection of the DRR Project Manager are the following:
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla (spoken and written) - Chittagong dialect is a must
∎ Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar senior position - preferably within NGOs
∎ Previous experience in management of construction and or CfW projects
∎ Previous experience in management of technical teams
∎ Proficiency in using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
∎ Should have knowledge on humanitarian principals and attitude to work in Refugee Camps
∎ Experience in previous implementation of CfW based construction projects is an added advantage

Salary:
∎ Salaries will be based on qualifications and experience with a range between 110,000 -130,000 BDT per month.
