Financial Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in line with its long-term business goals.
Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team, advising the Managing Director, Director & COO, and the Board on financial matters.
Evaluate investment opportunities, new projects, mergers, and expansion plans.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Monitor financial performance against targets and report variances with corrective actions.
Prepare management reports and financial analyses to support decision-making.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Oversee the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely books and records.
Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS/BFRS and other applicable standards.
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing, and coordinate statutory and external audits.
Treasury, Cash Flow & Fund Management
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to meet operational and project needs.
Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions, and negotiate credit facilities and financing terms.
Optimize capital structure and manage borrowing costs and debt obligations.
Regulatory Compliance & Listed Company Obligations
Ensure compliance with the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) requirements.
Prepare and submit price-sensitive disclosures, quarterly and annual reports, and corporate governance compliance reports.
Oversee compliance with the Companies Act, the Income Tax Act, VAT laws, and other applicable regulations.
Tax Management
Plan and manage corporate tax, VAT, and withholding tax obligations.
Handle tax assessments, submissions, and dealings with the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
Risk Management & Internal Controls
Establish and strengthen internal control systems, policies, and financial procedures.
Work with internal audit to identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Safeguard company assets and prevent fraud and financial irregularities.
Investor & Stakeholder Relations
Communicate with shareholders, investors, analysts, and regulators on financial performance.
Support the Board and Audit Committee with accurate financial information and presentations.
Support the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and dividend-related processes.
Team Leadership & Systems
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance, accounts, and treasury teams.
Drive the adoption of ERP and financial automation tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
