Additional Requirements:
∎ Anatomy and physiology of the heart and vascular system
∎ Cardiac medications
∎ Cardiac catheterization procedures
∎ Clinical Knowledge

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Use the technique and knowledge that will minimize radiation exposure to patients, the general public and health care personnel consistent with the ALARA (As Low As is Reasonably Achievable) concept.
∎ Inform patients to remove radio opaque material if any in the region of investigation.
∎ # Inform conscious patient to give their valuables to their attendant.
∎ # In case of unconscious patient the valuables are removed in presence of corresponding sister / attendant.
∎ Ensure Patient position for the procedure according to the region requested by the consultant.
∎ Entry patient’s information like name, sex, part of procedure etc.
∎ After the complete procedure removed sheath & check puncture site.
∎ Following pre & post work instruction in all Cathlab procedures.
∎ Post procedure images are documented and make ready CD & report.
∎ Keep records of test done for the day CD wastage for monthly inventory.
∎ Maintain duty roster properly.
∎ Inform to concerned Person / Department for faulty of Medical Equipments or any other machineries.
∎ Ensure all the stationary items / medicine / CD, others consumables etc are available in the department.
∎ Make sure of the patients’ safety and welfare during the examination, including radiation safety.
∎ Ensure to keep the department neat and clean.
