Job Summary

The Retail Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately handling sales transactions in a fashion retail store. This role supports a positive shopping experience by being friendly, efficient, and attentive to customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them at the checkout counter

• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system

• Handle cash, credit, and digital payments responsibly

• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to store policy

• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area

• Answer basic customer questions about products, prices, and promotions

• Assist with gift wrapping and bagging merchandise neatly

• Support store opening and closing procedures when required

• Work with the sales team to ensure smooth store operations

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous retail or cashier experience is an advantage (but not required)

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Basic math and cash-handling ability

• Friendly, professional, and reliable attitude

• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment

• Interest in fashion and retail is a plus
