Job Context:
∎ ABOUT THE POSITION: The Capacity Building and Training Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Manager. S/he will be engaged in overall training and capacity building activities of the Bangladesh Aquaculture Activity (BAA) project of WorldFish. This position is mainly responsible to provide capacity building and technical support to the BAA team and partner organizations for smooth implementation of the Bangladesh Aquaculture Activity (BAA), funded by USAID. The key responsibilities of this position include guideline and manual development, provide training to the relevant counterparts, support and monitor the activities in the field, support to BAA team to enable them to deliver quality training and contributing to program management, coordination and collaboration between organizations, Donor and Partners.
∎ Eligibility, Location and Duration: There are one (1) opening which will be based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Interviews are expected to be held in August 2021 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview. The successful candidate should be available to commence in October 2021 for an initial seventeen (17) months fixed term contract, with the possibility of contract renewal depending on performance and funding availability.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Leadership for Advocacy and Representation:
∎ Establish and maintain relationship with development partners and stakeholders to strengthen network activities.
∎ Maintain liaison with different organizations and institutions with training background
∎ Facilitate the process of building of effective team.
∎ Training Needs Analysis and Planning:
∎ Support of other WorldFish Center staff conduct Target Group Profile (TGP) and Training Needs Assessment (TNA) of different level of clients of the BAA project.
∎ Prepare and develop program plan and implementation strategy.
∎ Project Management:
∎ Develop monitoring tools for ensuring program quality.
∎ Undertake appropriate initiatives to responds to the immediate needs to accomplish project objectives.
∎ Document lessons learned.
∎ Monitor farmer group training organized by the implementing partner staff
∎ Budget Management:
∎ Prepare annual training plan and training budget for staff and project beneficiaries including smallholder farmers.
∎ Brief staff on project budget, monitoring status and issues.
∎ Work closely with Senior Program Manager, ensure project budget forecasting, budget availability, and monitor monthly / quarterly budget.
∎ Resource Management And Capacity Building:
∎ Collect different training related information, modules, books, handouts, etc. as required to use for project purpose.
∎ Evaluate impacts of aquaculture trainings provided by the project.
∎ Prepare training modules and upgrade the existing training modules
∎ Develop/ regenerate training guidebook, slides, video documentary etc. for relevant participants of the project.
∎ Identify and develop suitable training materials, e.g. flipchart, posters, picture, models, leaflets, real objects based on target groups.
∎ Organize and facilitate BAA and implementing partner staff trainings.
∎ Support trainers to perform their jobs effectively.
∎ Support HR to hire/recruit short-term facilitators and new facilitators for to support relevant activities.
∎ Arrange trainings/workshops to deliver quality program.
∎ Identify the areas of improvement to enhance project staff responsibilities and capacity.
∎ Organize and facilitate training related workshops as required.
∎ Reporting:
∎ Prepare monthly / quarterly training report and maintain training documentation as required.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years or more experience in training, preferably in the areas of aquaculture, fisheries, agriculture or related programs.
∎ Proven skills in developing training and extension materials including visual aids, i.e. training manuals, training modules, leaflets / booklets, posters, etc. for different target groups.
∎ Ability to organize and facilitate workshops, seminars, rallies at different levels.
∎ Two years' experience in a management role within a USAID-funded project.
∎ Strong English in both written and oral.
∎ Good interpersonal skills and an understanding of budgets and budgeting.
∎ Ability to use MS Office- Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other useful computer programs like Photo-shop, Photo- editor, etc.
∎ Preference will be given to those with proven experience in planning and organizing training programs, preparing training materials and ability to recognize training needs, documentation and related activities.
∎ Excellent knowledge and skills in applying principles of participatory technology development for addressing problems of the stakeholders to develop suitable technical and social measures.
∎ Willing to take challenges in dissemination of improved agricultural technologies and varieties to enhance productivity, family income and nutrition with gender equity of the farming households in rural regions of Bangladesh.
