∎ Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry
Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Operates and maintains sophisticated instruments.Properly set up, calibrate, maintain, operate, and shut down such instruments.
∎ Receiving, labeling, and shorting the sample (blood, urine, etc.).Designed and executed laboratory work and sample preparation according to standard procedure.
∎ Work with possibly infected samples on a daily basis.Using proper sterilization and safety techniques in the laboratory is essential.
∎ Conducting experiments under defined conditions to verify or reject various types of samples using scientific laboratory methods.
∎ Organizing and storing all chemicals, liquids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
∎ Maintain results accurately and responsibly on the forms given, and then give them to the authorized consultant.
∎ Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
∎ Make sure that all safety rules are followed at all times and that the place stays clean and organized.
∎ Continuously research laboratory-related information.
∎ Trains and orientates new biochemists in the performance and interpretation of tests.
∎ To ensure that laboratory testing is accurate, timely, and meets customer needs.
