∎ Age 25 to 40 years
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Baking: Creating doughs and batters, making cakes, sweets, and breads, and baking a variety of pastries
∎ Decorating: Using icings, toppings, and other items to decorate pastries and desserts Menu planning: Contributing ideas to the menu and organizing the dessert menu Ingredient
∎ management: Checking, ordering, and stocking ingredients, and monitoring inventory Equipment
∎ maintenance: Ensuring that all equipment is working properly
∎ Safety and sanitation: Following proper food handling procedures, washing hands, keeping work surfaces clean, and storing ingredients and cooked goods at the proper temperature
∎ Time management: Being able to measure ingredients and bake multiple items at once
∎ Recipe development: Creating recipes, testing techniques, and making modifications to perfect recipes
∎ Staff management: Recruiting, hiring, and training assistants and junior chefs
∎ Displaying goods: Displaying cakes and pastries at special events
