Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely procurement of medical supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and other necessary materials. Maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
∎ Monitor inventory levels, track stock movements, and optimize inventory turnover. Implement inventory control measures to prevent stock outs and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
∎ Coordinate the logistics of incoming and outgoing shipments, including transportation, storage, and distribution of supplies. Develop and implement efficient distribution strategies to meet the hospital's requirements while minimizing costs and lead times.
∎ Analyze historical data, market trends, and patient volume to forecast demand for supplies and equipment. Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate demand planning and alignment with patient care needs.
∎ Monitor supply chain costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop strategies to optimize spending. Assist in budget preparation and manage expenses within the allocated budget.
∎ Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as FDA guidelines for medical devices and pharmaceuticals. Stay updated on industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in healthcare supply chain management.
∎ Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline operations. Implement quality control measures and identify areas for improvement to optimize patient care and operational outcomes.
∎ Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as clinicians, nurses, and administrators, to understand their supply needs, address concerns, and ensure timely delivery of required materials. Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to support effective communication and coordination.
∎ Utilize supply chain management software and systems to track inventory, manage orders, and streamline processes. Identify opportunities for automation and implement technology solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
