Educational Requirements:
∎ Graduate on Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Recommend, update (where required) Summit's Corporate Environment, Health, Safety and Social (EHSS) policies incorporating compliance with local laws, any financing requirement resource efficiency and other international best industry practice.
∎ Recommend, update where required, Summit's Corporate Level Environment Social Management System in line with IFC's PS for planning, construction, operational and decommissioning phases.
∎ Liaise with external EHS auditors and other associate companies to close all important issues identified during any audit or/ and highlighted in (semi-annual) reporting.
∎ Familiarize all stakeholders with the EHSS function through meetings, presentations and discussions.
∎ Develop, perform and coordinate EHS practices and exercises across the company.
∎ Ensure the company always meets its legislative and contractual obligations, codes with local and international bodies.
∎ Keep abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that may impact Summit.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years of work experience in oil, gas, cement and/or food industries as environment, health and safety professional.
∎ Special Skill /Training:
∎ Industrial good practice,
∎ Work place safety management,
∎ Environmental stewardship,
∎ Training management, process safety,
∎ Safety in design,
∎ HZPOP study and
∎ Fire safety, contractor Safety management OSHSA and ISO Standards.
