Job Context:
∎ Summit Meghnaghat II Power Company Limited (SMIIPCL) invites suitable candidates for the following position:
∎ Duty Station: Summit Meghnaghat II Power Company Limited (SMIIPCL), Project at Meghnaghat, Narayanganj.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to develop and update Summit corporate EHS&S policies incorporating compliance with applicable local laws, IFC Performance Standards and other industrial good industry practices.
∎ Assist to develop and update where required Summit's corporate level Environmental Social Management System in line with IFC Performance Standards for planning, construction, operation and decommissioning phases.
∎ Coordinate EHS&S program at plant level to obtain operational excellence with in organization.
∎ Provide guidelines for enhancing EHS performance across the company.
∎ Liaise with external and internal EHS auditors and associate companies to close all the important issues identified during any audit and highlighted in any semi-annual reporting.
∎ Familiarize all the stakeholders with the EHS&S function through meetings, presentation and discussions.
∎ Ensuring organizational goal by meeting legislative and contractual obligations, codes with local and international bodies.
∎ Keeping abreast of any safety and environmental law or regulation changes that impact Summit.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience: Total 5 years of experience in oil, gas, cement and food industries as environmental & health safety profession. The eligible candidate is required to have certain years of work experience under EHS Department.
∎ Major Challenges:
∎ Develop EHS culture among the plant to ensure operational excellence and also contractor safety management on safe work practices.
∎ Ensure lender's requirements are fulfilled.
∎ Knowledge/Skills:
∎ Industrial good practice, work place safety management, environmental stewardship, training management, process safety, safety in design, HZPOP study, fire safety, contractor safety management OSHSA and ISO standards, etc.

Salary:
∎ For appropriate candidate salary may be given Tk 100,000 per month as a gross.
