Job Responsibilities:
∎ Import:
∎ Having sound notion and practical knowledge of ICA rules /Bylaws, Arbitration and The Liverpool Cotton Association Ltd.
∎ Ability to clearly reach correct understanding on the following factors:
∎ Raw material is the most important function that will contribute to optimum profit
∎ Evolution of raw material quality is generally based more on experience rather than scientific testing of characteristics only
∎ Timing of purchase depends on comprehensive knowledge about various factors which affect the prices
∎ Choosing the supplier for reliability of delivery schedules and ability to supply raw material within prescribed range of various parameters which define the quality of raw material
∎ Bargaining for lowest price depends on the buyer's reputation for prompt payment and accepts delivery without dispute irrespective of price fluctuations
∎ Organizing the logistics for transportation of goods and payment for value of goods will improve the benefits arising out of the transaction
∎ If the transit period for transport of goods is longer then also profitability will be reduced due blocking of funds for longer period and increase cost of interest
∎ Country of Origin, Area of Growth, Variety
∎ Percentage of sampling at destination
∎ Procedure for settling disputes on quality or fulfillment of contract obligation
∎ Price in terms of currency, weight and place of delivery
∎ Shipments periods
∎ Tolerances for weights and specifications
∎ Handling C& F agents, transport company, transportation of goods from destination port to factory site and all ports related jobs
∎ Execute, monitor, manage L/C related work, follow up shipment , documents as per contract and retirement formalities of document to handover the C & F agents to release consignment within proper time without any demurrage at off dock or shipping line
∎ Having knowledge of procedure for import and commissioning of Capital Machinery and Spare Parts of Textile/Spinning industry
∎ Export:
∎ Having sound notion and practical knowledge of UCP rules
∎ Able to apply UCP knowledge- management skills to procure secure, correct, flexible and feasible LC(s) during export marketing
∎ Organization and co-ordination of exporting activity when division of labor or departmentalization in export business for handling L/C matters, there is a need for distribution L/C requirement information and checklists among the concerned departments.
∎ Compliance planning activity for shipment, documentation, presentation and organization. Proper planning is a must for stress-free, error-free and dispute-free compliance
∎ Preparation and arrangement of documents by using efficient technology, competent staff and UCP knowledge with regards to documentation
∎ Self- examination of documents before presentation to avoid post presentation rectification
∎ Supervision of timely presentation at the proper place and within banking hours
∎ Regular monitoring and controlling progress made in compliance and trying to control the factors that may delay preparation and presentation and always keeping the stipulated deadlines in mind for planning and implementation
∎ Banking work (Loan Sanction, Renewal & Repayment ,LC, Purchase, Maturity Payment Collection)
∎ BTMA related work (Cash, GSP and other Certificate)
∎ Analysis all in hand L/C(s), stock of goods, requirements of buyer, transport capability to make delivery schedule and deliver the goods within shipment period.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 05 years of experience in spinning mills.
