Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) or Mechanical Engineering

Experience Requirements:
∎ 8 to 10 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operates boilers and associated equipment
∎ Start-ups and shut-downs steam turbine generator sets and connects or disconnects from electrical distribution system
∎ Continuously monitors and records hourly operating condition of turbines, generators and switchgear
∎ Operates steam control devices that supply steam to all campus systems
∎ Performs all electrical switching on all distribution switchgear
∎ Operates auxiliary equipment such as pumps, compressors, pollution control equipment, coal-handling equipment and cooling towers
∎ Regenerates water softeners; tests and treats boiler feed water, storage water and cooling water
∎ Checks auxiliary equipment related to turbine generators and boilers. Adjusts and records operating temperatures and pressures to maintain equipment in proper operating condition. Records data on log sheets and log books
∎ Learns the duties of the Lead Operating Engineer-Steam and Power Plant IV for upgrade and promotional opportunities
∎ Assists other operating staff as required
∎ Trains and instructs lower level operators in the proper operation of turbines, generators, switchgear and steam to campus control devices, as well as all auxiliary systems required to support the operation of these systems
∎ Clean equipment and work area as required
∎ Keeps Lead Operating Engineer-Steam and Power Plant IV informed of all changes in operating conditions
∎ Communicates and explains equipment problems through the Lead Operating Engineer-Steam and Power Plant IV to appropriate maintenance personnel
∎ Promote safe operations and support departmental safety initiatives and programs
∎ Maintains all work areas, tools and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
∎ Other related duties as assigned
∎ Start-up, shut-down, normal operation of Steam Turbine Generator [2 X 10 MW, EHNK, NUVO PIGNONE], Natural Gas Compressor [250 kg/cm2, CERCO], Duel Fuel Engine Generator [4 MW, Gas and Diesel, WARTSILA], Diesel Engine Generator [1 MW, FG WILSON], Electrical Power Distribution Sub-Station. Steam Generator [2 X 90 ton/h] etc.
∎ Plant operation experience from remote DCS and from field in rotating shift.
∎ Routine inspection of plant equipment and accessories.
∎ Indoor/outdoor sub-station, 6.6 KV vacuum type ckt breaker and LT air ckt breaker operation.
∎ Minor electrical and mechanical maintenance of Engine, Turbine, Generator, Power Circuit. Breaker, Motor, Heat exchanger, Oil filter, Electrical Distribution System and Controlling, Measuring and Protective Circuit, Relays, switch and other associated equipment's using for generator, turbine, pump, compressor etc.
∎ Checking, Replacing, Testing various type of Measuring, Controlling and protective instruments.
∎ Keeping plant running and maintenance record.
∎ Take a part, when accident occur, as a member of plant fire brigade and rescue team.
∎ Work order/permit issuing, maintenance cost analysis, keeping maintenance work history, auto generate work order for regular preventive maintenance of machineries and other plant maintenance management work done by MAXIMO software.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Regularity & punctuality is a must.
∎ Managing all data in systematic manner so it can be retrieved in shortest possible time.
∎ Fluency on English language (both in verbal and written communication).
∎ Should be responsible and answerable to management.
∎ Ability to maintain self-composure in a high pressure work place.
