Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will be reporting to the Manager Engineering or any other competent authority for application of sound engineering principles and practices for maintenance of the facilities, analyzing survey reports, maps drawing, blueprints aerial photography, planning and designing transportation or hydraulic systems and structure, following construction and government standards, inspection project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design. The incumbent will also do test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, and concrete, asphalts or steel, providing technical advice on structural repairs to healthcare and managerial personnel. The incumbent may need to work in shifts as per roster approved by the Manger Engineering. Job description of Assistant Engineer - Civil may be changed at any time for the interest of Hospital.
∎ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
∎ 1. Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other plan of projects.
∎ 2. Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools
∎ 3. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety Supervise construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site.
∎ 4. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
∎ 5. Prepare or present engineering reports, such as bid proposals, deeds etc.
∎ 6. Test soils and materials to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalts or steel.
∎ 7. Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications, and structural repairs to healthcare and managerial personnel.
∎ 8. Tabulate data and prepare sketches, diagrams, and graphs for evaluation by engineering consultant.
∎ 9. Test construction materials and soil samples and examine foundations
∎ 10. Summarize and /or make written reports from maps, reports, field investigations, land surveys, plans and specifications.
∎ 11. Review plans, prints, and specifications for details concerning the construction, maintenance, and of structures and facilities.
∎ 12. Expedite work on production orders, assist in the preparation of work schedules, ad other data.
∎ 13. Set up and maintain monitoring equipment to obtain samples, measurements, and other data
∎ 14. Conduct preliminary inspection of existing systems and those under construction, while in progress and after completion, to ensure that standards and other requirements are met.
∎ 15. Perform various other duties assign to him by the authority.

∎ Ensuring construction work, building maintenance including other assigned job properly.
∎ Reporting capacity to the authority
∎ Punctuality in attendance & Sincerity in duties.
∎ Minimum 3 years' experience in relevant field
∎ Must have a good theoretical and practical knowledge/experience of engineering on building maintenance, construction, building design.
∎ Must have the adaptability to work and perform in multidisciplinary teams with other professionals including cardiologist, surgeons, and other medical specialists.
∎ Must be proficient in using different software's including MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio & Auto CAD.
∎ Experience in hospital maintenance work related to healthcare service may be treated as added qualification.
∎ Good communication skills and computer literacy are necessary.
